JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 05.08 .2026 Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 2] This matter was referred for mediation. The learned Mediator has filed before the Court a report dated 19.06.2026 that the matter has been settled on Page No.# 3/3 the following terms and conditions: “1. After discussion it is decided by both the parties that the family pension of Late Elioth Field Sangma will be divided between his two wives. The first wife Smti. Henila Marak will get 70% of the pension and the 2nd wife Abha Das will get 30% of the pension. 2. That both the parties agreed that in the event of death of either spouse, the other surviving spouse shall get the benefits until her/his death. 3. That, both the Parties shall be bound strictly by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 4. That, this agreement is signed by both the Parties on their own volition after going through it and after understanding the contents therein and are therefore free from any influence from any quarters. 5. That, the Mediation process is accordingly closed.” 3] The writ petition therefore, stands closed in terms of the settlement arrived at by and between the parties. 4] The Official respondents will do the needful in terms of the settlement arrived at by and between the parties.
