87 02-09-2025 AKG Ct. 15 WPA 19097 of 2018 Biswajit Das Vs. The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. & Ors. Mr. Indranil Halder …for the Petitioner Mrs. Gopa Roy …for WBSEDCL Respondent nos. 4 and 5 are not represented. Let the affidavit of service filed by the petitioner be kept with the records. The petitioner seeks a domestic electricity connection for his residence at Nichu Patty, Dhankal Ghat, P.S. Chandannagar, Hooghly. The petitioner submits that pursuant to his application for electricity connection, the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) raised a quotation of Rs. 893/-, which the petitioner duly deposited. However, due to obstruction from respondent nos. 4 and 5, WBSEDCL could not effect the electricity connection. The Officer-in-Charge, Chandannagar Police Station, shall extend necessary assistance to the officials of WBSEDCL for implementation of this order. The cost of police assistance shall be borne by the petitioner. The police shall also be at liberty to break open the padlock of the meter room, if required, for effecting such connection. Accordingly, WPA 19097 of 2018 stands disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
