By the present petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent No.3/Sub Divisional Officer to verify the caste status and issue caste certificate to the petitioner within a stipulated period considering the fact that her parents belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) category. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that albeit the respondent SDO has taken cognizance on the application filed by the petitioner, but owing to deliberate inaction on the part of Sarpanch, Kotwar and Patwari of Gram Panchayat Chowkbeda, Tahsil Pithoura, District Mahasamund, who are not signing the genealogy table of the petitioner’s family, the proceeding initiated by the SDO is not being concluded. He would further submit that though the said fact has been brought to the notice of the SDO that the Sarpanch is not putting his signature in the genealogy table, still the SDO is not proceeding on the application of the petitioner and the same is pending consideration since a long period. 3. At this juncture, learned counsel appearing for the State would submit that if the application filed by the petitioner is still pending before the SDO, the same shall be considered and necessary orders will be passed in accordance with law within a period of thirty days. 4. I have heard learned counsel appearing for the parties and perused the documents. 5. From the pleadings and documents annexed with the writ petition, it is manifest that the petitioner submitted a representation before the SDO on 4-9-2024 wherein the petitioner categorically stated that intentionally the 3 Sarpanch has not put his signature on the genealogy table and as a result of which she is facing several difficulties. 6. Looking to the grievance of the petitioner and particularly considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the State, the respondent No.3 Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Pithoura, District Mahasamund, is directed to consider the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of caste certificate and pass necessary orders in this regard within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of. 8. The petitioner is directed to apprise the respondent No.3 SDO about the order of this Court.
