Petitioner has been made accused in connection with C I D P.S Case No. 43 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 318(4), 316(5), 338, 336(3), 340(1) 340(2), 61(2) and 111 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-XVIII-cum- Special Judge, CID, Ranchi.
3. It is alleged that Rs. 9.00 crore of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust was deposited in the Central Bank of India, Birsa Chowk Branch, Hinoo. The petitioner who is the Branch Manager of Central Bank of India, Birsa Chowk Branch, Hinoo Ranchi enticed the office bearers of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust to deposit the said amount in the fixed deposit scheme. Thereafter, a forged account in the name of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation Limited was opened and the entire amount of Rs. 9.00 crore was deposited in the said forged account. The petitioner issued a forged fixed deposit receipt in the name of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust. Later, the Informant on being suspicious, started inquiry about this money. The petitioner on various occasion told the Informant that the server of the bank was down. Later on, it transpired that the petitioner along with some officials of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust and bank officials have misappropriated the entire amount. During the course of investigation, petitioner was apprehended and about Rs. 47.00 lakh was recovered from his home.
4. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
