This present review application has been filed against the Order dated 27.11.2024 passed by this Court in Mat. App. No.23 of 2024. 3. It is the case of the petitioner that the ‘stree dhan’ and other belongings of the wife were not returned. Hence, the petitioner has prayed for a review of the impugned judgment passed by this Court regarding the award of permanent alimony. It is seen from the record that the Court below has not provided any findings on the issue of ‘stree dhan’, nor has there been any declaration. Since this issue is silent, it is not open for this Court to reopen the trial and examine the disputed questions of fact concerning the payment of ‘stree dhan’ and other belongings, as the scope of review is limited. Furthermore, the parties, during the argument in the appeal, did not bring this fact to the attention of this Court. Since the matter remained unaddressed at that stage, reopening it now through a review would amount to reopening the trial, which is not maintainable. 4.
