ORAL ORDER (PER: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ)
1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent no. 1 authority to consider the representation dated 21-05-2025 and direct to pass an appropriate order the copy of the representation vide Annexure-F in the interest of justice and equity.
b) Such other writ or order or direction as this Hon’ble court deems fits on the facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity.
2. The petitioner had been convicted for the offences punishable under Section 449, 302, 506 (2), 109 read with Section 34 of the IPC. Subsequently, the petitioner having filed an appeal in Criminal Appeal No.100135 of 2025, the order of conviction was

suspended. The petitioner has submitted a representation at Annexure-F to the respondents to permit the petitioner to report back to work, which has not been considered. In that background, the petitioner is before this Court seeking for the aforesaid reliefs.
3. Whenever any representation is submitted by a citizen to an authority, the authority is required to pass necessary orders on the representation either accepting or rejecting the representation within a reasonable period of time. Neither having been done, I pass the following:
ORDER i. Writ petition is allowed. ii. A mandamus is issued directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.05.2025 at

Annexure-F strictly in accordance with law and pass necessary orders within 3 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this
order. iii. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner.
