The land of the petitioners are said to have been acquired for the construction of a canal by the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited (KNNL) and are said to have submitted a representation to pass necessary orders with regard to compensation for utilization of the land of the petitioners. The representation submitted on 21.01.2017 is said to be pending consideration even as on today. 3. Therefore, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent-KNNL to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners and pass necessary orders within an outer limit of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if not already passed as on today.
