02/21.11.2025 Heard Mr. Indrajit Sinha, learned counsel for the appellant and learned Spl. P.P. for the State.
This appeal is directed against the order dated 24.09.2025, passed by the learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-V, Ranchi in B.P. No. 1201 of 2025, arising out of Sukhdeonagar P.S. Case No. 455 of 2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that some counterfeit currency notes were recovered from the possession of the appellant.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the purported notes were actually coupons containing the name Children Bank of India. In fact, Mr. Sinha, learned counsel for the appellant has produced before us two of the purported counterfeit notes from which it could not be deciphered as to how the Police has considered it to be counterfeit notes, the difference in the original notes and these notes being apparent as it mentioned Five hundred coupons indicating the name of Children Bank of India. Learned counsel for the appellant further submits that the appellant is in custody since 23.08.2025.

Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant and has submitted that the appellant has got three criminal antecedents.
On consideration of the aforesaid facts, we while setting aside the order dated 24.09.2025, passed by the learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-V, Ranchi in B.P. No. 1201 of 2025, arising out of Sukhdeonagar P.S. Case No. 455 of 2025, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate-XXXI, Ranchi in connection with Sukhdeonagar P.S. Case No. 455 of 2025.
This appeal stands allowed.
