That a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction may kindly be issued, directing that Respondent Board to correct the Petitioner’s name as Nasir Mohd Rawat” instead of “Nasir Mohd” in the Matriculation Certificate.” 2. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner as also learned Counsel for the respondent-Board, this Court is of the considered view that no mandamus, as prayed for, can be granted by this Court. Not even the prayer as made by learned Counsel for the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 petitioner for issuance of a direction to the respondent to decide the representation of the petitioner is being granted by this Court for the reason that this Court is of the considered view that, in case, the petitioner intends to have his name changed by adding a surname thereto, he would be well advised to approach appropriate Court of law, seeking a declaration to this effect. At this stage, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that then these proceedings be closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate Court of law for addressal of his grievance.
