The petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to supply the entire videography, including webcasting, complete CCTV footage and copies of Forms 17-C, Parts I and II, in respect of election to the 71-Nangal Chaudhry Constituency in the Haryana State Legislative Assembly Elections, 2024. 2. The petitioner claims himself to be a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer and an Ex-member of the Haryana State Legislative Assembly for two consecutive terms i.e. 2014-2019 and 2019-2024. The petitioner claims that in the Assembly Elections of 2024 for Haryana Vidhan Sabha, he had been polled 55059 votes as against the successful candidates, Smt. Manju Choudhary, who had received 61989 votes. 3. At this stage, on the service of the advance copy of notice of the writ petition, Mr. Prateek Gupta, Advocate appears on behalf of respondents No.1 and AMANDEEP GOSAIN 2025.04.04 21:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment CWP-8497-2025 (O&M) - 2- 2 and submits that the petitioner may avail his remedy in respect of the relief claimed in the present writ petition, but at any cost the writ petition is not maintainable. 4. Be that as it may, the fact remains that the petitioner has sought the relief regarding supply of videography, CCTV footage and copies of Forms 17-C, Parts I and II in respect of the elections to 71-Nangal Chaudhry Constituency in the Haryana State Legislative Assembly Elections, 2024. The petitioner, if so advised, may move the competent authorities under the relevant provisions of law, including the Right to Information Act, to obtain the aforesaid documents, if not prohibited under any rules. 5. Disposed of with the liberty aforesaid. 6. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
