learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Nagar P.S. Case No. 125/2024 registered u/s-191(2), 190, 126(2), 115(2), 132, 121(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (B.N.S), 2023 (corresponding sections 147, 149, 341, 323, 353, 332 of Indian Penal Code (I.P.C), 1860), pending in the Court of the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sahibganj.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the villagers and false allegations are made of altercation with the police. He also submits that this petitioner was also assaulted by the police and that has been supported by the entire villagers and he was treated in the hospital, by way of Annexure-2. He further submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in Para 19 of the petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that allegation of altercation with the police is there.

Considering that the altercation took place while cleaning of the river bank during the chatt festival, the petitioner has received injury and the villagers have also supported the case of the petitioner by way of Annexure-3 by putting their signatures and the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to surrender before the learned Court within four weeks from the date of receipt of the order and on the event of his surrender / arrest, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount of each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sahibganj in connection with Nagar P.S. Case No. 125/2024 subject to the condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
7. This Anticipatory Bail Application is accordingly allowed and
disposed of.
