IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH (204) RSA-3595-1998 (O&M) Date of Decision:-24.09.2025 MEENA GOYAL AND OTHERS … Appellants Versus SUNIL KUMAR AND OTHERS ... Respondents -.- CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present:- None. **** VIRINDER AGGARWAL
, J . (Oral) As per the report of Registry, notices were issued to the appellant. Appellants No.1 and 5 refused to accept the notice, whereas appellants No.2 and 4 are reported to have died and appellant No.3 is married and residing with the in-laws. This is an old appeal of the year 1998. It seems that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the present appeal.
2. In such circumstances, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the appeal on the docket, indefinitely.
3. Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution with liberty to the appellants to revive the same, if have any grievance from this order, within a period of three months from today.
4. As a natural corollary, since the main case stands disposed of, all pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of, as no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping them pending.
