Both these bail applications arise out of same police case. Accordingly, they are being disposed of by a common order. Petitioners have been made an accused in connection with Jaldega (Bansjor O.P.) P.S. Case No. 62/2024, for the offence under sections 20(b) (ii) (B)/22(b) of the N.D.P.S Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum- Special Judge, Simdega. On 25.11.2024 at about 06:15 A.M., Jaldega police apprehended both of the petitioners near Khammantanr Check Post while they were travelling on a bus bearing registration no. OD-14- Z-6245 and on search 3.930 kgs of cannabis were recovered from their possession. It was submitted that the quantum of seized cannabis comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph 14 of both the applications. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail but has not dispute the aforesaid facts. Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case, the petitioners named above, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum- Special Judge, Simdega in connection with Jaldega (Bansjor O.P.)
