Heard Shri Aditya Vardhan Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.G.A. for the State, and perused the record. 2. The present habeas corpus writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent nos. 2 to 4 to produce petitioner no.2, Km. Ria Verma, a minor, who is alleged to be in the unlawful custody of respondent no.5. 3. In compliance with the order dated 07.04.2025, petitioner no.2, Km. Ria Verma, aged about 15 years, was produced before this Court by the concerned police authorities. 4. Upon being interacted with by the Court, the minor corpus voluntarily and unequivocally expressed her desire to reside with her mother, petitioner no.1. 5. Having regard to the statement made by the minor corpus and the fact that petitioner no.1 is her natural guardian, this Court is of the considered opinion that the relief sought in the writ petition is justified. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.5 to hand over the custody of petitioner no.2, the minor corpus, to petitioner no.1 forthwith. 7. The Station House Officer of the concerned police station is further directed to ensure the safe and secure transfer of the minor corpus to the lawful custody of petitioner no.1.
