SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No[435 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner/accused, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.555 of 2024 of Pendurthy Police Stat|lon, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 376 and 417 IPC. 2. It is a case of sexual intercourse with the victim by the accused on the pretext of love and marriage and thereby, cheating the defacto complainant. 3. Heard. Perused the record. 4. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that the petitioner herein, on the pretext of marring the defacto complainant, had gone phys'lcal with her from January, 2024. It has been stated by the defacto complairiant that in the month of August 2024, the petitioner herein stated that he is already marr'led and the said fact has been knovyn to the defacto complainant. Despite the sa'ld fact, the defacto complainant, being a major, had gone physical with the petitioner herein. Moreover, the petitioner herein was arrested on 26.ll.2024 and since then he has been languishing in jail. It is submitted by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that major portion of the investigation has been completed. czz2ppii/ \_i 2 f/ 5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to consider request of the petitioner herein for grant of bail. 6. Accordingly, the criminal petition is allowed. The petitioner herein shall be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned VII Additional Judicial Magistrate of First class, Visakhapatnam. petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned every sunday between 10.00 AM and 5.00 PM till filing of the charge sheet.
