Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The present writ petition has been filed with the following prayers :- "(a) Issue, a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents sanction and release the amount of death cum-retirement gratuity of the petitioner's husband to the petitioner along with admissible interest forthwith. (b) Issue, any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case to which the petitioner may found entitle in law." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that claim of the petitioner for death-cum-retirement gratuity on the death of the husband of the petitioner is pending consideration before respondent no. 3. In this respect, petitioner has filed representation dated 21.1.2025. The direction may be issued for expeditious disposal of the same. 4. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State submits that representation of the petitioner would be decided in a time bound manner. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is hereby directed that representation of the petitioner pending before respondent No.3 be decided expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 6.
