2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Dhalbhumgarh P.S. Case No. 18 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. No. 87 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 272, 273, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code and section 55(i) (d) / 55 of Excise Act, pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ghatshila.
3. On 01.04.2024, Dhalbhumgarh Police raided an illegal brewery at village Charchakka and seized huge quantity of illicit liquor from there. Co- accused persons namely Dharmendra Kumar, Sujit Kumar and Subhash Kumar were apprehended at the place of occurrence. However, petitioner managed to escape from the place of occurrence, on seeing the Informant party.
4. It was submitted that co-accused Sujit Kumar, Dharmendra Kumar and Subhash Kumar have been granted bail by different coordinate Benches of this Court and the case of the petitioner stands on better footing.
5. Mr. Ajay Kumar Pathak, learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail.
6. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ghatshila in connection with Dhalbhumgarh P.S. Case No. 18 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. No. 87 of
2024.
