WRIT PETITION NO. 6844 of 2025 Shekhar Ghanshyam Janbandhu vs. State of Maharashtra, through Chief Secretary, Mumbai and others. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Court's or Judge's Order Coram, appearances, Court's Orders or directions and Registrar's order ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. A. R.Ingole, Advocate for petitioner. Mr. Nitin Autkar, AGP for respondent no. 1. Mr. M. P. Khanjanchi, Advocate for respondent nos. 3 to 5.
CORAM :- ANIL S. KILOR and RAJNISH R. VYAS, JJ.
DATE :- 28thAUGUST, 2026. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The following prayer is made in the present petition:
“(i) by an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, direct the respondent no.3-First Appellate Authority and Deputy Chief Engineer (Administration), Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station to comply with the directions issued by the Hon’ble Principal Seat of Bombay High Court vide Judgment dated 27.02.2025 passed in Writ Petition No.6961/2012 (Annexure-A) and register the F.I.R. against the respondent no.4-Public Information Officer.”
3. Admittedly, the judgment referred in the prayer clause is delivered at Principal Seat of this Court. Furthermore, the petitioner was not the petitioner in the said petition. If the petitioner is of the opinion that there is no compliance of the directions issued in the said
judgment, remedy is something other than filing a writ petition.
4. Considering the prayer clause (i) referred above, the petitioner seeks directions to register the FIR against the respondent no.4-Public Information Officer in view of the above referred judgment, again the petitioner is having remedy to file a private complaint under the provisions of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 2026:BHC-NAG:11241-DB

6. The amount deposited by the petitioner in this Court shall be refunded to the petitioner forthwith.
