Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J Petitioner has prayed for grant of following substantive reliefs: - “(i) To quash and set aside letter dated 06.05.2024 (Annexure P- 5). (ii) That the respondents may be directed to reckon the entire service rendered by the petitioner, including ad hoc service from 06.04.1987 to 03.03.1995 towards qualifying service for pension and DCRG. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 (iii) That the respondents may be directed to pay and release the balance amount of DCRG for ad hoc period to the petitioner along with interest @ 12% per annum.” 2. In terms of impugned order dated 06.05.2024, the respondents have turned down petitioner’s case for grant of gratuity for the ad hoc services rendered by him. 3. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the issue involved in this writ petition, grievance of the petitioner and the reliefs prayed for have essentially been adjudicated upon in Ashok Kumar Jaswal Versus State of H.P. & Ors.2. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be content in case the respondents are directed to examine the case in light of the aforesaid judgment within a fixed time schedule. Learned Deputy Advocate General is not averse to this prayer. 4. Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter and notwithstanding with order dated 06.05.2024 (Annexure P-5), this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/competent authority to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in accordance with law as well as taking into consideration the above judgment by passing appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from today. The decision so 2 CWP No. 1283 of 2025, decided alongwith connected matters on 24.09.2025 3 arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner.
