The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of an appropriate order or direction to respondents No.1 to 5 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.6 and take action on his representation dated 17.03.2025 (Annexure P-5). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioners has recently filed a representation on 17.03.2025 before the Chairperson, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Sector-34-A, Chandigarh (Annexure P-3) raising his grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2-Director General of Police, Punjab Police Head Deepak Patwal 2025.03.25 09:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-2887-2025(O&M) 2 Quarter, Sector-9, Chandigarh to decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioners and take necessary action thereon. 3. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No. 2 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 17.03.2025 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner within a period of 15 days from today, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
