ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MRS JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN)
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's husband is missing since 15.02.2024 and that in spite of complaints preferred before police, he is not traced. The status report by way of affidavit is placed on record by the Police Sub Inspector, Gulpeth Police Station, Kolar Town, Kolar District, Karnataka. It is submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint on 27.03.2024 stating that her husband Sri. Venkataramana B N., has been missing since 15.02.2024. The complaint was received and enquiries have been made.
It is submitted that on investigation, it has come to the light that similar incidents of the petitioner's husband going missing have occurred previously in the limits of the Gulpeth Police Station and also Mulbagal Town Police Station regarding the very same individual. It is submitted

that earnest efforts are being taken to trace the missing person and all prompt efforts will be taken in this regard. 3. In the above view of the matter and in view of the submissions made in the status report, we are of the opinion that the writ petition can be closed recording the status report and directing that the appropriate steps in accordance with law shall be taken to trace the missing person, at the earliest. 4. The allegations raised by the petitioner in Para 11 of the statement of facts in the writ petition shall also be taken into account by the investigating officer. Sd/- (ANU SIVARAMAN) JUDGE
