Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for the following reliefs:- “(I) Writ of mandamus or of similar nature directing the respondents to restore the electricity connection in the building of the petitioner vide ID No. ID no. 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2025:HHC:43233 100002291031, 100001959976, 100002290615, 100001959792, 100001959979, 100001959796, 100001960114, 100001960117, 100001960120 as per notice (Annexure P-8.). (II) Writ of mandamus or of similar nature directing the respondents to not to interfere in the property in question belonging to the petitioner referred in Annexure P-1.” 2. A perusal of Annexure P-8 demonstrates that the action has been initiated against the petitioner by the Authorities, in light of the directions passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in CWPIL No. 17 of 2014 and CWPIL No. 09 of 2015. 3. This Court is of the considered view that as the action has been initiated against the petitioner on the strength of the order passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench in two Public Interest Litigations, the course open for the petitioner is to file an application in the said two Public Interest Litigations and it is not for this Court to go into the legality of the notice under challenge. 4. Faced with this situation, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner prays for and is permitted to 3 2025:HHC:43233 withdraw the present petition, so that the petitioner can file appropriate application(s) in the Public Interest Litigations, referred to Annexure P-8.
