1. Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.
2. The petitioner claims interest on delayed payment of terminal benefits. The petitioner superannuated from service of the WBTCL
2 on June 30, 2024. He received his provident fund benefits of Rs.39,11,018/- towards provident fund on May 22, 2025.
3. The petitioner is entitled to interest for the period from July 01, 2024 to May 22, 2025 at the rate of 6 per cent per annum. Let the same be paid to the petitioner by the WBTCL within a period of one month from date.
4. In default of payment as directed above, the rate of interest shall stand increased to 9 per cent per annum.
5. The writ petition is disposed of.
6. There will be no order as to costs.
7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
