Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Manjhiaon P.S. Case No. 50 of 2024, for the offences registered under Section 379 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Garhwa. On 12.06.2024, unknown thief committed theft of Rs.1,60,000/- from the informant. The petitioner was identified in CCTV camera as the person who had committed theft. Learned A.P.P. has submitted that petitioner is accused in as many as 16 cases of similar nature. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is in custody for about 10 months. Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
