After the death of his father, the petitioner submitted a representation requesting the authorities to consider his case for appointment as a fair price shop dealer under compassionate grounds. Pending the said representation, as the respondents were taking steps to fill up the vacancy of the said shop on permanent basis, the petitioner was constrained to file the present writ petition. 2. When the writ petition came up for admission on 02.12.2013, this Court passed the following interim order: “There shall be interim direction as prayed for.” 3. Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies has furnished a copy of the appointment letter issued in favour of the petitioner on 14.08.2023 through which the petitioner was appointed as a fair price shop dealer for Shop No.518, Maddivanipalem, Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam on permanent basis on compassionate grounds. As the case of the petitioner was already considered for appointment as a fair price shop 3 VS,J W.P.No.34567 of 2013 dealer on compassionate grounds, this Court is of the opinion that no further orders are necessary in this writ petition. 4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
