This contempt case is filed against the respondent for willful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.No.13991 of 2022, dated 06.05.2022, wherein this Court has passed the following order: “In the result, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioners, dated 20.12.2021, in accordance with law, within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.” 3. Sole respondent filed the counter affidavit, wherein, it is stated that, after disposal of the said writ petition, a discrete enquiry was conducted by the then Joint Collector, Srikakulam on 23.07.2022 and by the then District Collector, Srikakulam on 05.12.2022 in the presence of the petitioners herein and also the concerned officers i.e., the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srikakulam, the Commissioner, Srikakulam Municipal Corporation, Srikakulam and the Tahsildar, Srikakulam, since, the land lies in the Srikakulam Town & Municipal Corporation limits. It is also stated that the Commissioner, Srikakulam Municipal Corporation vide letter bearing Lr.Dis.No.180747/2021-G1, dated 08.07.2022 has reported that the subject town survey No.271 (T.S.No.271) is situated at Chowk Ward of Srikakulam Town in Srikakulam Municipal Corporation limits having a total extent of 1.3223 sq. ft. (Ac.1.74 cents) and not having any sub-divisions and it is also mentioned as “Municipal Site” in the town survey records. 3 4. It is further stated that the representation made by the petitioners dated 20.12.2021 was considered by the respondent and thereby, it was rejected by the respondent vide endorsement bearing Rc.No.1834/2021-E2, dated 13.04.2023 stating that de-notification of the subject land from the list of prohibited properties of Chowk Ward, Srikakulam Town & Mandal, notified under Section 22A of the Andhra Pradesh Registration Act, 1908, cannot be considered, as the total extent of land was mentioned as “Municipal site” in the town survey records. 5. As this Court has directed the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioners, by duly conducting an inspection, the respondent having conducted an enquiry has issued an endorsement dated 13.04.2023. Hence, this Court is of the opinion that the orders of this Court dated 06.05.2022 have already been complied with by the respondent. 6. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the said endorsement dated 13.04.2023. There shall be no order as to costs.
