ORDER 07.04.2026 The petitioner, through the medium of this petition seeks quashment of the Detention Order bearing No. DIVCOM-“K”/37/2025, dated 07.03.2025 passed by respondent No. 2 - Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, whereby the petitioner has been ordered to be detained under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Learned Counsel for the respondents submits that the impugned order dated 07.03.2025, challenged in the present petition was passed by Learned Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and was executed on 12.03.2025 by ASI Ajaz Ahmad (PID No. 951253/GEC) of Police Station, Rainawari, Srinagar. It is further submitted that with the enforcement of order on 12.03.2025, the impugned order has outlived its life, with maximum period of one year. The petitioner if not released, from custody is ordered to be released immediately and forthwith, without any further delay. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed as infructuous.
