The respondent and his counsel are present. 3. The application is filed under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The said application is jointly signed by petitioner, respondent and their counsels. As per averments of the said application, the matter is settled between the parties for Rs.2,10,000/- (rupees Two Lakhs Ten Thousand only) payable by the petitioner to the respondent. 4. The petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs.1,61,250/- (rupees One Lakh Sixty One Thousand Two hundred Fifty only) and today, the petitioner is paying Rs.50,000/- (rupees Fifty Thousand only) by way of cash. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:20106 CRL.RP No. 1686 of 2024 5. The respondent reports receipt of cash of Rs.50,000/- (rupees Fifty Thousand only). 6. In view of the settlement of the matter, the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compounded. Hence, this Criminal Revision petition is disposed of. 7. The trial Court is directed to release amount deposited in sum of Rs.1,61,250/- (rupees One Lakh Sixty One Thousand Two hundred Fifty only) by the petitioner infavour of the respondent. 8. The respondent is directed to furnish his bank account details so as to enable the trial Court to transfer the amount to his bank account.
