ORAL ORDER
The parties and learned counsel for respective parties are present before the Court and they have filed joint memo stating that the matter has been settled for Rs.3,00,000/- as full and final settlement. In the joint memo, it is stated that Rs.2,75,000/- is already deposited before Senior Civil Judge and JMFC at Arsikere in C.C.No.319/2019 and the same may be withdrawn by the respondent and petitioner has no objection to release the amount in favour of the respondent. The petitioner also made the payment of Rs.25,000/- to the respondent- complainant and the respondent-complainant also acknowledged the same.
2. In terms of the joint memo and settlement, already amount has been paid as full and final settlement to the respondent-complainant. Hence, joint memo is taken on record.
3. The parties have also filed an application under Section 147 of N.I. Act. In view of the settlement arrived between the parties and affidavit is filed and in view of the joint

memo, offence is compounded and petitioner is acquitted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of N.I. Act.
