Heard Shri Balakrishna M.R., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Smt. Natasha Murthy, learned counsel for Shri Vignesh Shetty, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.1. 3. The petitioner maintains a savings bank account with Union Bank of India at Alangaru branch, Mudabidri Taluk. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:10614 WP No. 35528 of 2024 The account of the petitioner comes to be frozen, which comes as a bolt from the blue to the petitioner on 08.10.2024. The freezing of the account of the petitioner is on the score that the cyber crime police have received a complaint with regard to several fraudulent transactions and in so far as the petitioner is concerned, the amount involved in the transaction is Rs.1,01,000/-, this is what is discernible from the complaint. Therefore, marking lien on the said amount, I deem it appropriate to direct defreezement of the account of the petitioner and permit him to operate the account as it was being operated prior to the freezing of the account with the lien as observed hereinabove being marked.
