The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Raidih P.S. Case No. 47 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 18/22/27(A)/28/29 of NDPS Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. On 22.10.2024, at about 11:30 p.m., Raidih Police, on the basis of confidential information intercepted Shivnath Bus bearing Registration No. CG- 14MT-7799 and apprehended the accused persons. On search, 506 grams of opium were recovered from their possession. It was submitted that petitioner was neither apprehended at the spot nor anything was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that the name of the petitioner has come in the confession of co-accused. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla, in connection with Raidih P.S.
