ORAL JUDGMENT
(PER: HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. JUSTICE N. V. ANJARIA)
Heard learned advocate Mr. K. Manjunatha Rao Bhonsle for the complainant and learned Additional Government Advocate Mr. Naveen Chandrashekar for the respondent-State.
2. While allowing the writ petition as per order dated 19.09.2024, learned Single Judge passed the following operative directions,
"(ii) Respondent No.4 - Tahasildar is directed to forthwith restore the petitioner's name in the RTC pertaining to the land bearing Sy. No.173/P10

measuring 39 guntas of Marenahalli Village, Jala Hobli, Bengaluru North (Additional) Taluk, Bengaluru Urban District.
(iii) This exercise shall be accomplished within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of
order copy.
(iv) Failing which, the matter will be viewed seriously and appropriate action shall be initiated against respondent No.4 - Tahasildar."
3. As per the above directions, the Tahsildar was directed to restore the petitioner's name in RTC and the exercise was required to be completed within a stipulated time.
4. Learned advocate for the petitioner is justified in submitting that the aforesaid directions are not complied with despite long passage of time, more particularly in view of acceptance of the fact by learned Additional Government Advocate, when queried, that no appeal is filed against the aforesaid order of learned Single Judge.
5. In the totality of circumstances, respondent No.1-Tahsildar, is obliged in law to comply with the directions.
6. Therefore, respondent No.1-Tahsildar is directed to comply with, in any case, the directions within eight weeks from today

failing which, the respondent shall be exposed to aggravated form of contempt.
7. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
