[2025:JHHC:33325] IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No.9966 of 2025
------ Md. Rehan @ Rehan Bachha @ Lalwa, aged about 21 years, S/o Ranjit @ Md. Shahid, R/o- Carriage Colony, Muslim Basti, P.O. + P.S.- Burmamines, Town- Jamshedpur, District- East Singhbhum (Jharkhand) .... .... …. Petitioner

For the Petitioner : Mr. Anurag Kashyap, Advocate
For the State

Order No.02 Dated-07-11-2025
Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Burmamines P.S. Case No.61 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No.390 of 2025 arising out of S.T. Case No.207 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 115, 118(1), 109, 308(3), 351(2) of the B.N.S., 2023.
This is the second journey of the petitioner with the prayer for regular bail. Earlier the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 23.06.2025 passed in B.A. No.5020 of 2025.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only fresh ground is that in the meanwhile, charge has been framed against the petitioner on 27.08.2025 and no witness has been examined in this case. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail.
Learned counsel appearing for the State on the other hand opposes the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner and submits that keeping in view the fact that the petitioner is a hardened criminal and he is also involved in two other cases including one attempt to murder as well as the petitioner is a threat to the law and order situation of the locality; there is every chance of the petitioner absconding and tampering with the evidence, if released on bail.
Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner ought not to be released on bail. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to admit the above named petitioner to bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the above named petitioner is rejected at this stage for the same reasons as mentioned in order dated 23.06.2025 passed in B.A. No.5020 of 2025.
