GOLLAPALLI MAHESWARA RAO COUNSEL FOR THE RESPONDENT : PUBLIC PROSECUTOR THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING ORDER HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE K- SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.9807 of 2Q24 Order: This Cr'lminal Petition, under Sect-IOnS 480 and 483 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein/Al to A4, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.162 of 2024 of Pachipenta Police Station, Parvathipuram District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short `the NDPS Act,. 2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 07.ll.2024, the Sub Inspector of Police along with his staff and mediators while conducting vehicle checking at Police Check Post, P.Konavalasa VIllage, caught Al and A2 and found in possession of 4.990 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under cover of a mediators report. 3. Heard. Perused the record. 4. The petitioners are in judicial custody since 07.ll.2024. The quantity of Ganja allegedly seized from the possess'lon of the accused is only 4.990 Kgs, wh-lch is not a commercial quantity. In view Of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners herein/Al to A4. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioners herein/Al to A4 shall be released on bail On each Of them executing a __rf_ I 2 f/ personal bond for a sum of Rs.1O,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) each with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Salur.
