The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are only seeking a direction to the concerned Magistrate to dispose off the M.C.No.25 of 2017 expeditiously on merits.
2. It is submitted that the petitioners therein/parents have filed M.C. No. 25 of 2017 against the respondents therein/sons, who are employed, seeking maintenance. The said petition has been pending since 2017. It is submitted that though maintenance applications are to be disposed off within a period of

six (06) months, the case is being adjourned from time to time without any progress. It is also submitted that pleadings have also been completed.
3. Considering the same, there shall be a direction to the Special Mobile-Cum-Judicial First Class Magistrate, Machilipatnam, to dispose off the M.C.No.25 of 2017, preferably within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
4. With these observations, this Criminal Petition is disposed off.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
