A case has been registered againstthe petl'tioner herein for the offence punl'shable under section 7-B read with 8-B of the A.P. ProhI-bitiOn (Amendment) Act, 2020. Case of the prosecution, I-n brief, is that, on 22.07.2024, at ( about 02.00 PM, on credible information, the sub-Inspector of police, II Town L&O Police Station, Rajamahendravaram, along with his staff and mediators, proceeded to subbayamma Ghat, AC Gardens, Rajamahendravaram, and found one person while carrying a polythene bag. on seeing the police party, he escaped from the spot by leaving the polythene bag, which contains 20 litres of ID Arrack. The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. I 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Petl'tiOner Its innocent and he is falsely implicated in the present crime based on the medl'ators report and nothing has been seized from his possessI'On. He further submI'tS that most of the investigation is completed. I/ 5. On the contrary, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is in progress and if the petitioner i: granted anticipatory bail, he may hamper the process of invest®lgation and tamper with the prosecution evidence. 6.
