Sudhakar, learned counsel representing Sri R. Gopi Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.Raju, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services - I appeared for respondents. 2. A charge memo vide G.O.Rt.No.547 Health, Medical and Family Welfare (VC.1) Department, dated 26.10.2018 (Ex.PI) was issued against the petitioner. The petitioner submitted a written defence through the proper channel dated 09.02.2022 (Ex.P2). 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner is eligible for promotion to the post of Associate Professor, the respondent authorities are not considering the case of the petitioner because /') SRS,J W.P.No.31461 of 2024 of the pendency of the aforementioned charge memo. The petitioner made a representation dated 22.10.2024 (Ex.P4). 4. At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would confine his arguments and urged to direct the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999. 5. In reply, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services - I, did not refute the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 6. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the learned counsel, directing the learned respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Associate Professor in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257 General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999, if the petitioner’s case is in the zone of consideration.
