ORAL JUDGMENT

Learned advocate Mr. M.P. Srikanth for the complainant appearing through video conferencing made submissions.
2. The directions in the order of learned Single Judge dated 09.08.2024, while disposing of the petition is to require respondent Nos.1 and 2 to approve the appointment of the petitioner for salary grant retrospectively from the date of similarly situated appointees were admitted for salary grant and extend all the consequential benefits to the petitioner.
3. It could be seen that no time limit is prescribed for compliance of the aforesaid direction. In the circumstances, it is not possible to conclude, at this stage, that any of the respondents have committed contempt of court, much less willful contempt.
4. The contempt petition is not liable to be entertained. However, at the same time the directions of the court should not go uncomplied with. Therefore, it is provided while disposing of the present petition that the respondents shall comply with the directions within eight weeks from today.
