1. The petition at hand is pending since 2020. And, was/is being heard with another petition, PIL No. 19/2017 [Inhabitants of Village Hari and others Vs. State and others].
2. In the wake of the numerous orders that have been passed in the connected petition as also the compliance report(s) furnished on behalf of the respondents, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petition having served its purpose, it would not be expedient to continue therewith any further.
3. Be that as it may, for none appears on behalf of the petitioners, we are choiceless but to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
