learned counsel for Sri. Sumana Naganand, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri. V.Shivareddy, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 and 2. Perused the writ petition papers.
2. The petitioner, a retired Executive Engineer belonging to Public Works Department of the State Government, is before this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the Communication bearing No.¸ÀAPÀzÀ/«¹¦- 2/¦EJ£ï/14/2023-24 dated 16.01.2024 addressed by Chief Engineer, Communications and Buildings (South) of respondent No.1 to the Secretary to the Government, respondent No.1 and for a direction to release a sum of Rs.17,67,150/- along with interest.
3. It is seen that the petitioner is a retired Government Servant and for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner, Special Forum is provided under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (for short '1985 Act'). When a Special Forum under a statute is available for the petitioner for
