Heard the parties.
The petitioners have been made accused in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No. 06/2023 arising out of G.R.P.S Dhanbad P.S. Case No. 70/2023, for the offences registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 21(b) & 22(b) of the N.D.P.S. Act. Subsequently, charge has been framed under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Dhanbad. Bail application of the petitioners were earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.1407 of 2025 by order dated 19.02.2025. On 12.08.2023, Dhanbad Rail Police apprehended these petitioners from platform no. 02-03 of the Dhanbad railway station. On search, 42 kgs. of cannabis were recovered from their joint possession. Report regarding the stage of trial earlier called for, has been received. It appears that out of 14 charge sheeted witnesses only 6 witnesses have been examined. It was submitted that petitioners have got no criminal antecedent. Considering the period of custody and the fact that the trial is not likely to be concluded soon, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, the petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Dhanbad, in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No. 06/2023 arising out of G.R.P.S Dhanbad P.S. Case No. 70/2023.
