THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:13638 WP No. 35717 of 2024 CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: "Wherefore, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue the writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 and 9 to consider the representation of petitioner Vide dated 10/12/2024 i.e., Annexure - E and to pass any order/s, relief/s, as this hon'ble court deems fit in the circumstances in the ends of justice and equity." 2. The prayer of the petitioner is for grant of adequate police protection owing to certain threat perception to the life of the petitioner. 3. The learned Additional Government Advocate Sri.Rahul Cariappa K.S., representing the State would submit that if there is threat in real time, the action would be taken in terms of circular dated 14.11.2018. 4. In that light, I deem it appropriate to dispose the petition with a direction to the respondent Nos.2 and 9 to - 5 - NC: 2025:KHC:13638 WP No. 35717 of 2024 consider the representation of the petitioner, assess the threat in real time and then, in terms of 14.11.2018 circular, grant such police protection. 5.
