Side) 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.7859 of 2025 O R D E R The petitioner/A1 along with one Thenmozhi/A2, who is facing trial in V.A.C.No.8 of 2023, had filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate and Special Judge at Thiruvallur to complete the trial expeditiously. 2.The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Due to the pendency of the above case, the petitioner’s career is getting affected. In this case, F.I.R. registered on 10.12.2021, charge sheet filed and the same was taken on file on 03.07.2023. Summons issued to the petitioner for his appearance on 01.08.2023, thereafter charges framed on 07.08.2023. Summons to the witnesses taken on 11.09.2023 and from thereon it was periodically adjourned for serving of summons. The petitioner had unblemished service for decades in the department and the petitioner was falsely implicated as though the petitioner demanded bribe amount to approve the file of the de-facto complainant and 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Crl.O.P.No.7859 of 2025 also informed that if the amount is not paid, filed would be delayed. In this case, the trap amount was not handed over to the petitioner. It is projected as though it was handed over to A2 on the instructions of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner filed the above petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that there are 300 cases pending before the trial Court and the trial Court is giving preference to the old cases and day to day trial has been proceeded there. Now 5 cases are ready for judgment and the trial Court pre-occupied with the same. As regards serving of summons, the prosecution is ready to serve the summons once sufficient time is available for the examination of the witnesses before the trial Court.
