PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein/A4 to A6, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.54 of 2024 of Gangaraju Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) of BNS and Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution is that, on 02.12.2024, the Sub- Inspector of Police along with his staff and mediators rushed to Eedulabayalu Junction, and found A1, A4 to A6 in possession of 400 2 kgs of Ganja. The contraband was seized under the cover of mediators report. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. The quantity of contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the petitioners is 400 Kgs of Ganja which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioners does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
