The petitioners herein made a representation dated 16.10.2024 3. to respondent Nos.3 and 4 requesting to renew the license given to them in the past. The respondents have not taken any decision till I today. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to act upon the representation. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioners 4. have approached to the office for getting new licenses in Somasila back waters for Fasali 1434 on 16.10.2024 and the department is intended to conduct the skill test to the petitioners and issue licenses to the qualified eligible genuine fishermen in the skill test, as per mm 1 3 G.O.Ms.No.776 Food and Agriculture (Fish.II) Department, dated: 31.12.1990 and G.O.Ms.No.186, Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, (Fish.II) 25.11.1995, in and around 10 Kms radius of Somasila back waters as per rules. In view of said submissions, it appears that the respondents are 5. intending to conduct skill test for admission into the society. Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 6. respondents to conduct a skill test for the petitioners and proceed in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and communicate the decision of issuance or non-issuance of license to the petitioners. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any. shall stand closed. Sd/- M.
