AUGUST 27, 2026 The petitioners have approached this Court seeking directions to respondent no.4 – Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Bhandara, to make payment of gratuity with interest. 2] As such, the record shows that the petitioners had already approached the Controlling Authority under Section 7 of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, seeking similar relief. The Authority has determined the claim, and even issued Recovery Certificate under Section 8 of the said Act. 3] That being so, appropriate remedy, according to us, lies before the Controlling Authority. The petitioners may avail the said remedy. 4] The petition is disposed of.
