The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training) has issued Notification No. G.S.R 471(E) dated 02.08.2024 vide which the jurisdiction to decide the service disputes of the employees of the Universities being autonomous/statutory/corporate body under the of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been conferred on the Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu Bench. 2. The subject matter of the instant petition falls within the definition of service matters, as contained under Section 14 of the Administrative Tribunals Act 1985, which has been made applicable to the UT of Jammu and S. No. 75 HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH 2 Kashmir after coming into effect the Jammu and Kashmir Re-organization Act, 2019. 3. In view of the above, the instant matter requires to be adjudicated upon by the Central administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench. 4. Registry, therefore, is directed to transfer the records of the case to CAT, Jammu Bench after retaining soft copy thereof for record purposes. 5. Parties are directed to appear before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench on 18.03.2025. 6. Petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
