Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 48O and 483 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner herein/accused No.2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.133 of 2024 of Salur Rural Police Station, parvathipuram Manyam District, registered for the OffenCeS punishable under sections 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short `the NDPS Act,) .
2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 09.10.2024, at about 15.00 hours, on credible information, the Sub-Inspector of police, salur Rural Police Station, along with his Staff and mediators, proceeded to Kottavalasa Junction in GadababoddaValasa Village, and found Al to A3 in possession of 14.480 KGs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under cover Of a mediators report.
3. Heard. Perused the record.
4. The petitioner is in judicial custody since 09.10.2024. The quantity of Ganja allegedly seized from the possession Of the accused is only 14.480 Kgs, which is not a commercial quantity. In view Of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A2. t_-~ -. `
5. Accordingly, the criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioner herein/A2 shall be released on bail on her executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District and sessions Judge-Gum-specl'al Judge for trl-al of offences under the NDPS Act, Vizianagaram. petitioner shall appear before the station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e., on every sunday between 10.OO AM and 5.00 PM till filing of the charge sheet.
