The prayer in this writ petition is to direct respondent No.2 - Tahsildar to consider the claim of the petitioner for change of khata. 2. The petitioner claims that the land in question was granted to his father by the Land Tribunal and the entries were also muted in his father's name. He submits that, his father gifted the property to him under the registered gift deed and after the said gift, a suit came to be filed by Kariyappa seeking for partition and the said suit also can be settled. He therefore claims that he is entitled to get the khata registered in his name. 3. In the light of the above assertions, it would be appropriate to consider the case of the petitioner for change of khata on the basis of the documents that the petitioner has produced. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:9736 WP No. 36033 of 2024 4. This consideration shall be undertaken and completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 5. If the Tahsildar requires the technical approval of the Assistant Commissioner for logging into the system and effecting the change, the Tahsildar may seek for such approval within the aforementioned period. 6. It is needless to state that nothing said in this order shall be construed as rendering any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner. 7. This petition is accordingly disposed of. 8.
