Heard Sri Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned AGA for the State. 2. This writ petition has been filed for quashing the first information report dated 24.02.2025 registered as case crime No. 57 of 2025, under Sections 123, 68, 69, 115(2), 351(2), 352, 126(2) of B.N.S., 2023 and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station - Gajraula, District - Pilibhit. 3. An F.I.R. was lodged by the first informant, respondent No. 3, alleging that petitioner No. 1 had made false promises of marriage and had sexual intercourse with the informant. The F.I.R. was challenged in this court. However, since before filing of the writ petition, the parties had entered into a compromise, the compromise was also annexed to the writ petition. In it, there was an averment that the petitioners No. 1 and 3 had got married. The compromise was sent for verification. Today the verification report has been sent by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pilibhit. 4. The compromise has been duly verified. Now since the petitioner No. 1 and the respondent No. 3 are living amicably as husband and wife and have also entered into a compromise we find that no useful purpose would be served in the investigation in pursuance of the F.I.R. continued. 5. The first information report dated 24.02.2025, registered as case crime No. 57 of 2025, is thus quashed. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed.
